Circle Calculator
Note: All calculations are based on the radius unless the 'Radius' option is selected, then they are based on the diameter.
Circle Calculator
The Circle Calculator is a handy tool to calculate the area, circumference, diameter, and radius of a circle. Given any one variable of a circle you can calculate the other three unknowns.
Calculating Different Parameters of a Circle:
1. Area:
The area (A) of a circle is determined by the formula:
Area = π * r²
where r is the radius of the circle.
2. Circumference:
The circumference (C) of a circle is determined by the formula:
Circumference = 2 * π * r
where r is the radius of the circle.
3. Diameter:
The diameter (d) of a circle is determined by the formula:
Diameter = 2 * r
where r is the radius of the circle.
4. Radius:
The radius (r) of a circle is half its diameter (d):
Radius = d / 2
Circumference to Diameter Calculator
The circle is a geometric figure that does not have a starting point or an ending point. It is a closed curve where any point on the curve is an equal distance from the center - this distance is known as the radius. The longest distance across the circle passing through the center, also known as the longest chord, is called the diameter. The total length around the circle is the circumference.
